Privacy notice for unrd apps and website

1.Introduction

unrd is conscious of its legal obligations to keep your personal data safe.

This is our privacy notice. It tells you how we collect and process data received from you via:

1. Our app, Suspects: Mobile Detective

2. our website

Please read the following carefully to understand our views and practices regarding your personal data and how we will treat it.

These are the details that the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) requires us to give you as a 'data controller':

3. What we may collect

3.1 We may collect and process the following personal data about you:

(a) Information you put into forms or surveys on our app or website at any time, including (if you choose to subscribe to our app) your name, mobile number and e-mail address.

(b) A record of any correspondence between us.

(c) Details of transactions you carry out through our app or our website.

(d) Details of your visits to our app and/or website and the resources you use.

(e) Information about your device (e.g. your mobile device type, operating system, etc.) for system administration and to report aggregate information to our advertisers.

(f) Details of interactions you undertake within the app or on the website (stories read, stories shared, payments made, etc).

(g) If you choose to do so, and provided that you have permission from such contacts to do so, your contacts list so that we can use this information to allow you to add such friends to your game-playing experience within the app.

(h) If you consent (such consent as provided to us when first opening the app), to serve personalised adverts to you, utilising the services of certain third party analytics and advertising providers as set out in section 6.2 below to do this. If you don’t provide such consent, we will still serve adverts but such adverts will not be personalised.

3.2 Under GDPR we are obliged to ensure that your personal data is processed lawfully, fairly, and transparently, without adversely affecting your rights. We will only process your personal data if at least one of the following bases applies:

(a) you have given consent to such processing for one or more specific purposes;

(b) processing is necessary for the performance of a contract to which you are a party or in order to take steps at the request of you prior to entering into a contract;

(c) processing is necessary for compliance with a legal obligation to which we are subject;

(d) processing is necessary to protect the vital interests of you or of another natural person;

(e) processing is necessary for the performance of a task carried out in the public interest or in the exercise of official authority vested in the controller; and/or

(f) processing is necessary for the purposes of the legitimate interests pursued by us or by a third party such as our credit card payment processing, except where such interests are overridden by the fundamental rights and freedoms of you, the data subject, which requires protection of personal data.

4. How we use what we collect

4.1 We use personal data about you to:

(a) Present our app and website content effectively to you.

(b) Provide information, products and services that you request, or (with your consent) which we think may interest you.

(c) Carry out our contracts with you.

(d) Allow you to use our interactive services if you want to.

(e) Tell you our charges.

(f) Enhance certain experiences within the app (including name, location, age, gender, etc). For example, if you choose to subscribe to our app, subscription allows you to unlock additional content (such additional content as described to you within the app when you elect to subscribe). Similarly, if you consent to sharing your contacts list with us we will allow you to add such friends to your game-playing experience within the app.

(g) With your consent, tell you about other apps and services that might interest you.

4.2 If you have provided consent for us to contact you for marketing purposes, or to allow personalised advertising, but you change your mind you can email us at yourdata@unrd.co and ask to be removed from our marketing list or you can change your settings at any time by going to the Settings part of your device, clicking on unrd and editing whether you wish to allow personalised advertising accordingly.

4.3 In addition, if you don’t want us to use your personal data for any of the other reasons set out in this section in 4, you can let us know at any time by contacting us at yourdata@unrd.co , and we will delete your data from our systems. However, you acknowledge this will limit our ability to provide the best possible products and services to you and, in the case of subscription related data, your ability to access the additional content offered via the app.

4.4 In some cases, the collection of personal data may be a statutory or contractual requirement, and we will be limited in the products and services we can provide you if you don't provide your personal data in these cases.

5. Where we store your data

5.1 We may transfer your collected data to storage outside the European Economic Area (EEA). It may be processed outside the EEA to fulfil your order and deal with payment.

5.2 By giving us your personal data, you agree to this arrangement. We will do what we reasonably can to keep your data secure.

5.3 Payment will be encrypted. If we give you a password, you must keep it confidential. Please don't share it. Although we try to provide protection, we cannot guarantee complete security for your data, and you take the risk if any sending of that data turns out to be not secure despite our efforts.

5.4 We only keep your personal data for as long as we need to in order to use it as described above in section 4, and/or for as long as we have your permission to keep it. In any event, we will conduct an annual review to ascertain whether we need to keep your personal data. Your personal data will be deleted if we no longer need it or if we consider you are no longer a user of our app (for example if you are a subscriber and have not logged into our app for a period of longer than 12 months).

6. Disclosing your information

6.1 We may disclose your personal data in the following cases:

(a) If we want to sell our business, or our company, we can disclose it to our potential buyer.

(b) We can disclose it to other businesses in our company group.

(c) We can disclose it if we have a legal obligation to do so, or in order to protect other people's property, safety or rights.

6.2 We may contract with third parties to supply services to you on our behalf. These may include payment processing, search engine facilities, advertising and marketing. In some cases, the third parties may require access to some or all of your data. 7.1 Your rights

Through your account settings, you may access, and in some cases, edit or delete:

(b) Your email address.

(c) Your date of birth.

(d) Your mobile number.

7.3 Under the GDPR, you have the right to:

(c) Be informed of what data processing is taking place.

(d) Restrict processing.

(e) Object to processing of your personal data.

(f) Complain to a supervisory authority.

Please note that our terms and conditions and our policies will not apply to other websites that you get to via a link from our website or app. We have no control over how your data is collected, stored or used by other websites and we advise you to check the privacy policies and notices of any such websites before providing any data to them.

If we change our privacy notice, we will post the changes on this page. If we decide to, we may also email you to notify you of these changes.

10. Automated Decision-Making and Profiling

10.1 If we use personal data for the purposes of automated decision-making and those decisions have a legal (or similarly significant effect) on you, you have the right to challenge to such decisions under GDPR, requesting human intervention, expressing their own point of view, and obtaining an explanation of the decision from us.

10.2 The right described in the section above does not apply in the following circumstances:

(a) the decision is necessary for the entry into, or performance of, a contract between the you and us;

(b) the decision is authorised by law; or

(c) you have given you explicit consent.

10.3 Where we use your personal data for profiling purposes, the following shall apply:

(a) Clear information explaining the profiling will be provided, including its significance and the likely consequences.

(b) Appropriate mathematical or statistical procedures will be used.

(c) Technical and organisational measures necessary to minimise the risk of errors and to enable such errors to be easily corrected shall be implemented.

(d) All personal data processed for profiling purposes shall be secured in order to prevent discriminatory effects arising out of profiling.
